"The Life and Times of Eve-Marie - Boldly Going Where No Design Has Gone Before"
Created with Photoshop®, post-work in ImageReady®. The theme for this design was disorientation and sensory overload. It was influenced by styles of modern, contemporary art, with bold colors and angular type. The unusual breaking of the copy heightens the tension created by the bold colors. The square pixelization of the large photo is repeated, almost like a mirror image or an enlargement, in the navigation section. This was the first design that prominently featured my face. 2007-2008.
"The Life and Times of Me... in Little Snapshots!"
Created with Photoshop®, post-work in ImageReady®. This was a highly customizable and very scalable design meant to grow and change with my evolving site. During this time period, my bar exam blog was attracting attention from a lot of people who weren't friends or relatives, so I wanted to provide guests with a quick and easy introduction to who I was and my own personal style. The result was this lighthearted collection of scattered "polaroids," each linking to another microsite within the main site, and featuring a representative image and "handwritten" description. I later added a sticky note and an iPod image for newer microsites. The overall effect was a warm, personal, and inviting introduction to the website. 2005-2007.
"The Life and Times of Me" - Classical version
Created with Photoshop®, post-work in ImageReady®. This design was meant to pose a stark contrast to the previous look. The colors were lighter [baby pink, light grey, and white] and the emphasis was on the text. The look-and-feel was classic, in contrast to the more contemporary Blends look. Additionally, I chose to emphasize the text in order to show the breadth of the work on my website, while helping to organize content for the viewer. 2005.
Blends with Bridges
Created with Photoshop®, post-work in ImageReady®. This was to be a temporary design. As such, it was designed to carry over some of the Faces & Fragments look-and-feel (square images on a black background) while providing quick navigation to key website sections. 2005.
